Client: Earls Colne Primary School
Brand development and website design
ECPS was about to embark on the development of a new website in order to provide a better online experience for website users. However there was no branding for the school in order to provide a good design foundation from which the site could be created.
The school needed a brand design and brand guideline that could facilitate the design of the website and also create consistency of the presentation of the school across both online and printed mediums.
The Governors of the school wanted the new brand to convey the school’s vision and values and capture the ‘vibrant’ and progressive culture of the school.
The deliverables included a new school logo, designed strapline, colour palette, fonts, image guidelines, graphic device ideas for the website and a homepage design concept.

“Handstand were as good as their quirky name, producing a really original new brand for our school. They listened and really wanted to meet our brief. Hannah took the time to engage with all the school’s stakeholders which means that our new branding really captures the essence of what we are about. The transformation of our new logo and website homepage using the new design is more than we hoped for. It is vibrant and colourful, just like our school. The school is at the heart of the community and this is represented in the design. Handstand were simply excellent in all that they did.“ (Melanie Vine, Headteacher, ECPS.)
